The parent support group meets once a month at the Handikids facility. The monthly meetings have a different topic each month. Special guest speakers come in and speak about issues and concerns that parents face concerning special needs populations.

Because Handikids services a wide variety of disabilities, we incorporate different subjects on various disabilities. Parents share their information during the meeting and give Handikids advice on what subjects they would like to learn more about. This has been a wonderful source of referral to parents and a great source of comfort and trust is gained through family support.
